Assistant Manager (Hotel)
Initial 6-month contract
We are seeking experienced hotel or resort managers who are looking for an exciting new role in a small privately-owned Hotel on the beautiful West Coast of Scotland. An established, laid back and busy hotel, we need candidates with real energy, people management, team leadership and a passion for their trade and the great outdoors. The property is busy throughout the year, but we are keen to find someone who will take on an initial 6 month contract over the summer months with a view to extending it permanently thereafter.
All round capabilities including budgeting, rotas, team management and overseeing all departments including FoH, F&B and housekeeping, with the ability to step into Hotel Management when the GM is away.
This is a stunning spot with a small, tight knit community who, for the most part, all tend to work on the Estate that owns the hotel and therefore needs someone who is fun, engaging and inclusive, who will lead by example and is unafraid to get their hands dirty!
Salary: Flexible for the right candidate – benefits include accommodation

Notes: This is a remote location so driving is required
¨Working closely with the GM and Estate Manager to ensure that smooth daily running of a small hotel (11 bedrooms with additional shoot lodges)
¨Management of all relevant departments and working alongside their heads
¨Team Management, training and injecting some new joie de vivre in the longstanding team
¨Management of recruitment of seasonal temp staff
¨Handling budgets, forecasting and keeping on top of expenditure
¨Prior management experience within the hotel industry
¨Being a buzzy, energetic do-er – someone that the staff can warm to and want to work hard for
¨Excellent client service skills
¨High standard of your own work
¨Pro-active, flexible and unflappable
¨Able to commit for the full summer with view to a long-term role
¨Comfortable in remote outdoors locations
